kpKristen Polzien is a passionate yogini who has developed a richly devoted practice over the past 10 years. She completed her 200 hour teacher training with Paul and Sommer Sobin, of Thousand Petals Yoga School.

She embraces an alignment-based teaching style that allows students to experience the enlivening exchange of energy that happens when we open up to our true potential. Her classes are reflective, respectful, entertaining, and engaging.

Off the mat, she enjoys walking in nature, cooking, and creating natural products to care for the mind, body and soul. She has a Ph.D. in exercise physiology, with an emphasis in behavioral weight control and has extensive experience in teaching group exercise.

Kristen believes that to be alive and fully experience the gift of our lives, we must take action to know ourselves. She offers yoga as a practice of cultivating a compassionate relationship with life.
