Running Skills live stream follow up
Brian Beatty, PT, CFP
Thanks to all who joined our first Running Skills and Strength live stream home workout.
Here is an extra tidbit: More Isn’t Always Better
Many of the exercises we do for Running Skills and Strength involve ending in the Running Position. The goal being to train the use of the hips to control the pelvis. To gain optimal benefit, stopping while you still have optimal stability is beneficial. This does not mean going as high as you can. Going too high with the front leg is a common error that inadvertently ends up training a pattern that we want to avoid.
Check out these videos, find your stable pelvis, and then apply this Running Skill to your workouts and runs.
See how this applies as we Break Down the side lunge to high stand.
